In this second practice this week i played the ending and the original song of the performance. This practice was better than last one because the tempo is more stable. However there were some mistakes, and the ending was weird. I forgot the ending and repeated it for several times which was bad. I need to practice the ending more with and without my group, reread the notes and try to play it as many as possible this week for next week's assessment.

Term 4 Video- 7
In this video practice i played the last ending of the performance and the original song. I played it memorised and was able to do it quite well. However, the tempo was quite not good, it began to become faster as i played, so i need to becareful when playing it. There were also some wrongs that may be caused because i didnt fully memorised the song. Next time i need to practice some more so that i will not play with any mistakes.

Term 4- Video 6
Today in this video i played my jazz song in one go again. Thankfully, i have had memorised . However there were mistakes and sometimes i forgot the notes on the way and have to try pressing other notes to remember. It was quite alright and the tempo was also good but i need to really play fluently next time. I should practice more and try to play more slowly since in this video i played quite fast. I need to think first before i press and if i play it slowly ill be able to memorise it.
In this video i played Summertime again. I played it with little mistakes and i played it memorised. The tempo was still slow and quite unsteady since i am trying to avoid mistakes but there were less mistakes and i managed to remember all the notes. I need to play with no mistakes. However i am still lacking in fluency and i need to be able to play it fast and steady in the assessment. Therefore i should practice more and try to increase the tempo on my next practice.

Term 4 Video- 5
In this video there are stops because i am trying to memorise the whole song, i didn't palyed the whole song though because it is just a repitition. I changed my way of playing the song because i need to keep the tempo easier for the others to hear and keep on. I also need to emphasize the bass of the song. Its quite boring but i need to try my best. Next time i need to play it slower so that there will be no stops and i can memorise it easily.
In this video i played the song slower than before to memorise it. I pressed the piano hard so that in the real performance the sound of the piano can be heard since the others instruments are loud. However it kinda sounded bad because i pressed it too hard i need to press it more lightly and maybe staccato next time. The tempo was quite okay but it was quite unsteady. I still need to practice more because i forgot the notes in the way that made me to have stops.

Term 4 Video- 4
In this video i played my jazz melody again with no repitition since im just playing the bass not improvisations. I played it quite slowly because i need to catch and remember the tempo first. In the first playment i didn't remember the tempo and it was quite weird and bad to hear as the tempo is a mess. I need to practice more and slowly for me to remember the tempo first then i need to try playing it faster. I also need to practice more because there were many wrongs.

Term 4 Video- 3
In this video i tried to play my Jazz music with the new style that Mr Harry gave me. It was quite hard and i practiced it fast this time which is why i got the tempo confused and there were some mistakes. In this playment i focused on the bass and the chords because i need that for my Jazz group playment to sound better and more creative. The ending were also quite different and im still trying to figure it out. I need to practice it more slowly so that i my hands and mind could memorise and go on with the tempo then i could increase the tempo. I would need to make myself to get used to the style to by practicing it more.
In this video i still forgot to slow down the tempo when i played my melody and made some mistakes. My fingers and the tempo, the style was different and im confused. I need to make myself to be used to it first by practicing more of the song. The ending in this video is also quite good but i still want to try new endings and try to see if it fits when we play it in the group. I need to slow down and try to keep my left hand in the beat because it is hard. I think adding variations with my left hand is harder than it is on the right. Which is why i need to practice it more slower. I will practice more of this melody and changes in the future.

Term 4 Video- 2
In this video i played the jazz melody of Summer Time again. I didnt play the whole song and the tempo was quite wrong. I kind of increase the tempo in the middle of the song because i was in quite a hurry, i should be more calm next time. There were also some mistakes and it is hard to practice with a picture on the phone, i should transfer it to a paper soon. I should practice more slowly so that i could have a stable tempo and for me to memorize the song to prepare for my assessment performance on May. I should also add some improvisations too.
In this video i played the melody again with a slower tempo to make it easier to memorize the song but it is quite stable although there were wrongs and destroyed the tempo quite a bit. There is still no new improvisations and i didnt play the whole song again. However, i tried to change the ending in this video and created 2 types of ending but it didn't went so well and i still need to improve it. Term 4 Video- 1
In this video i practiced my jazz song for my assessment in groups. I didn't play all of the song because it is just a repitition so i just played the main notes and chords. There were still some mistakes and i had many stops in the middle and the beginning was a mess too. Thankfully, the tempo was done quite nicely. It is because i haven't been practicing well thesedays. I am also not familiar with the chords and are still searching for it all over, repeating the notes which was really horrible. I will need to practice this song a little bit slower and more frequently next time.

Today we were discuss some music roles in the society. The discussion was clear and specific which helped me to find new things about music power to the society. After we choose our own group and were divided into groups for our group presentation on it. Then Mr Herry explained to us about jingle music, what is it about and gave some examples of it on youtube. He also showed us some jingle music from our seniors. The music they made was really good and it fits their theme. I listened well and try to feel the music like Mr Herry told us to do. I also made some comments about it during the discussion of jingle music and its examples. It was really enjoyable. Next time i will need to do the power point presentation for my next assessment. In practical class, i practice my jazz song again with my instrument teacher and were given some advices, i try to do and apply it when we were told to go to our groups. I played well and tried to managed the tempo nicely, hear each other because it is a group performance. I applied the advice Mr Herry told me about too.

Today we were divided in groups to discuss our topic and contents for the presentation next weel. After that Mr Herry discuss the topics and how we should presentate it nicely. Then each of us went infront and tell the class what our contents in the presentation will be about. We said that we will discuss 3 music roles, we wrote it on a a3 paper and presentate our work well. I read it with a loud voice so my classmates could hear me. I should improve on the ideas of the power point presentation and make the presentation in groups for next week. I will also need to make the jingle music draft on finale like i was told to do. In the practical time, we went to our seperate groups again and we practiced together until it was time. I have some mistakes and were left behind during the play. However i can manage the tempo well. I will practice this song more so that our performance can be good.

Today we did our group presentation about music role in the society. My group did well and we have the survey of some people, even though it was really little but we were the only group which had it. Our presentation were also organized. After we're done, we were told to also judge and give some marks to the other groups who did the presentation based on 3 criterias and make some comments, give marks A-D. After we finished the group presentation we were told about the other class presentations and were compared. The other class's report was really cool. It was a lot of effort and the people who didn't do well on this test were given another chance. I also submitted my finale work today and were told about the assessment that we need to do on Friday. The assessment rehearsal. So i should practice more of my song and together with my group for the assessment.

Today we did our group rehearsal. However we judge and watch Nissa's group presentation first, i gave them some B's because it seems to lack information and surveys. After that we were given some time to practice and then we did the rehearsal and give some opinions on the others performance. Our reheasal was quite a success and it is said that it is near satisfactory than any of the other groups. The "All of Me" group also performed well and i judge them to have a good score while the other group need to practice together, they played well too but they still play individually. Our group were told to improve our balance, add more improvisations, and more playings on the melody. Next time i need to practice more and add some improvisations to the song for our final assessment on Jazz.

Today we listen to our friends finale and gave some comments on what it is fit for an ads. Our class finales were quite good some were really cheerful but most of them were sad and kind of funny. Mine was sad and kind of horror in the sound, it was quite funny to hear and also it kind of satisfy me although i would want to create something that is cheerful, my melody passes as a war/horror fairytale song and it was kind of good and funny at the same time. However, i think i need to change some of the notes to make it better again. We were also told to choose our group and song for our singing assessment on next wednesday. After that in practical class our Jazz group, tried to add some improvisations and changes to our playing. Mine was more focused on the bass and kind of variate the playing more and it is quite harder, the tempo also changed and kind of confused me. However i did quite well and it sounded nicer. I will practice the new style and try to memorise it. I will practice more at home to master the song and prepare well, also for me to choose and practice singing with my singing group for the next assessment.

Today were supposed to be our singing assessment dates but because most of us aren't prepared and ready for it the singing assessment was postpone to be on Friday. However we still had our rehearsal which is today. Our group sang "Love Story" because it was the easiest and the most remembered song for us. We aren't prepared well because we kept changing the song as it was hard for us to choose one. After that we assessed our friends and give comments for them. We also didnt had any practical class so next time i need to practice my jazz song on my own and my group need to practice or decide a song real fast since the assessment is on Friday.

Today me and my group singins assessment came late because we were practicing our song with Mr Hary. We sang firework for the singing assessment. It was quite a mess since our tone are not really combining and we forgot the lyrics at the end which was embarassing. However overall i think it was quite good. After that we made some comments for other groups so that they could be assesed by Mr Herry more and were asked one by one. It was quite entertaining and i chose Imez group to be the best duet since Imez and Rifky sang really well and they had a good song to pick which was suited for them
In the instrument class we didn't practice much and i still need to practice my tempo because it is quite messy and i am the one who lead the tempo so next time i need to really master and practice it.

Today Mr Herry told us about our Jingle group that we need to practice more than once a week or not just in class as a group because he wanted the show to be great since he gave us a lot of time. However, our group and most groups didn't practice much just on class or during snack time which is bad. Next week we are planning and should practice as a group together after school. After that we listened to our friends jingle and then write our reflection or comment about it for their improvements on the jingle drafts. We read each of our refelctions when being called and i think i gave some good feedbacks which is great and Mr Herry also teached us on how to give good feedbacks that could motivate other people. I tried to apply it and it was great, i listened to their jingle carefully and wrote what i think about it. My friends told me taht i need to edit the ending of the jingle to make it better, it sounded like a war or a game, not really horror but quite happy too which made me confused what it is good to advertise. Next time for the final draft i need to improve the ending and i need to practice my jazz song on my own since there are no practical class for the jazz performance.

Today we listened to Adrian and Greg's performance since they didn't perform for their assessment last week. They sounded quite good but they need to release their voice more and prepare better since the ending was left hanging and unfinished. However they delivered the message of the song quite well. After that the teacher showed us some videos of music genre to show us that we need to deliver our passion and enjoyment to the audience, that we need to be able to enjoy any type of genre and not be resist by one of them. That music is a universal languange, i tried to absorbed it and i really do think so too. After that we had our Jazz Group rehearsal performance. We had the teachers to comment on us. They said that we performed well, good tempo, well collaboration and preparation. It satisfied me and our hardwork seem to be paid off! However, we need to practice more and keep up the good work, try to make the music sounds more entertaining just like their comments.
We didn't have any instrument class which is why we need to schedule a practice together after school to play and practice our Jazz song, making it perfect together.

Today Mr. Harry asked for our final jingle finale. I gave in mine and did it nicely. I changed some parts of the song and handed it in on time. Next time i need to create a much better jingle though since it is not really well made. After that Mr. Herry showed us videos of our rehearsal for us to be able to reflect and perform better. My group performed well but it was kind of boring thats why in the practical class we should make some changes.

Today we have guests in class who composed Lilin-Lilin Kecil who is James Sundah and Pricillia Sundah. They performed in front of us and encourage us to take music as our major to save Indonesia's music. We listened well and are in awe. After that we made our jingle composition reflection to be handed in. I managed to fill all of the spaces with my words and are able to clearly tell my feelings onto the sheet. Then we were given our learning habits sheet to fill in on Term 4, i filled some of it but it was not finished yet. Next time i need to complete the sheet to be handed in.
In practical class, we practiced our song throughly again and Mr Harry changed some of my parts again which made me confused. I tried to keep up but it was kinda a mess. So next time i need to practice more and ask him again on what i should do when Tiffany is the bass.

Today we were given 5 minutes to plan our pattern of playing and discuss our song before having a rehearsal. We discuss it well and did our rehearsal. The rehearsal was quite bad because we didn't really practice beforehand. The playment, tempo and balance of the song were not really perfect like last time. Our group need to rearrange ourself and practice together a lot more
In the practical class, we practice our songs together. I played quite well during the practice but i still need to master and keep the tempo well match. I need to play softer, as last time i was too loud in balance. After that we listen the last group performed. Next time i need to practice my song and try to listen to my group mates.

Today we had another rehearsal again to prepare us for next week's final assessment. We did quite well but i am still confused and are unprepared to play the 3rd fast pattern in the performance. I need to practice and memorize the song more. After that Mr Herry told us about the graduation ceremony and that some of us will need to perform and get an extra mark on our report cards.
In practical classs, i practice my song with the whole group and ask mr Hary about how i should play the song when it is fast. I managed to understand and practice my role on the 3rd playment or pattern of the song. However, i still haven't fully memorised the tone and chords for the 3rd one. Therefore i will need to memorise it at home for the assessment date.

Term 3 video- Week 8
In this video for the first time i played different chord dominants. I played C and G major which is on C7, C9 and C13 and G7, G9, and G13. This is to practice for my next jazz group assessment, so that i could play the improvisations smoothly and without delay. In this video i still have trouble dealing and reading the chord. I don't really remember the fingering and the nots which is why there were mistakes on the video, i did not do really well. Therefore i will need to practice more of these slowly.
In this video i also played chord dominants with 7, 9 and 13 notations too but in D and A major scales. I played 2 scales on each video to master the scales first one by one. It was also hard because it is my first time playing it, I am not familiar with the nots and are not familiar with the fingering. Term 3 video- Week 7
In this video i practiced 2 variations of the walking bass Mr Herry told us about during theory class. I repeat the variations 2 times from 2-5-1 arrangements progressing chords on C major. It was quite confusing because the bass is moving and i am not familiar to it. I need to master it for my next assessment though. There were a lot of mistakes made from this video because i just started to read it and it is really new to me so it was quite hard. However it was also quite easy because the notes are simple and the tempo are also really basic. Next time i need to practice more and play it slower to be able to read the next bar and not make more mistakes in the video
This practice video was better than the first one because i am already quite familiar to the melody and nots. I also practiced the 2 variations of walking bass from 2-5-1 progression on C major like last time. It was easier this time and i didn't made as many mistakes as my first one it because i played it slower and more carefully, reading the nots ahead. However i didn't really play it smoothly and there were still mistakes on the second try. Next time i should be able to master this progresssion and practice a new one for my group jazz assessment.

Term 3 video- Week 6
In this video i practiced my 12 blues bars composition just with my right hand because i just started to play it. It was kind of hard because i cant really play the right tempo and i need to retry it quite a lot. The tempo was also quite hard to relate to and im not used to it. I cant really play it on the right tempo. I need to play it smoother and more accurately so i will need to practice the composition more.
In this video, i tried to play the composition using both hands. Its quite hard to play it using both hands. I played the left hand using the full chords in numerous times in a bar. It sounded more good using the full chord of the bar. Therefore i played it slowly however i still didnt play it smoothly. The tempo is still isnt right and i got some notes wrong. Term 3 video- Week 5
In this video i was searching for a song to sing on the second singing assessment. Im trying different jazz song and i love Frank Sinatra so i searched his songs and found fly me to the moon. It was really good and i tried to sing it for my lesson practice and to prepare for my music assessment. I sang it quite well but i didn't finish the whole thing. I kind of want to search for more songs that is suitable for me one that is more short. Next time i will sing and practice other jazz song.
In this video i am singing moon river after searching for other jazz songs. It reminds me of my childhood and i decided to sing this song for my second singing assessment. I tried to memorize the song, it was short so it helped. I also practice singing it on youtube karaoke/intrumental version. It was fun and i sang well by remembering the lyrics well too. Next time i will need to control my pitch more because i didnt do well in controlling the picth today.

Term 3 video- week 4
There was some error on my HP to video, so i could only video myself practicing in one minute. So in this video i played another 2 set of chord progression which is from G flat and E major scales, from 2-5-1 again. It was the same chord progression but with different major scales. I played the scales on my right. It was really hard and there were quite a lot of mistakes because there were so many flats and sharps everywhere and i need to hurry. I will need to practice it slowly so i could be used to the progressions first and practice it again and again so that i could master the progressions. I also need to try and finish all the chord progression Mr Herry gave me.
In this video i played another 2 sets of chord progression which was new to me because i havent finish and tried all the chord progressions Mr Herry gave me. I played the E major and D major with the same progression like last time, 2-5-1 again. It was easier than the G flat and i was able to do it well. However there were still mistakes and i didn't play it smoothly and was in a rush. I will need to practice it slower and more accurately next time, if i play it that way again and again eventually i will be able to play it smoothly and faster.

Term 3 video- Week 3
I updated my video late because i was sick when it was the due date. Here i practice the chord progression again, i add the scales on my right and played the chord with my left. In the video i am only playing 3 chord progressions from scale C, B flat and A flat the progression is from 2, 5 and then back to its tonic. It was kind of hard because i am not used to it. There were also mistakes and the playing is not smooth. I need to practice these 3 chord progression first before learning the others. Next time, ill practice it slower then faster but more accurately.
In this video i played the 3 chord progressions again which is C, B flat and A flat from 2 to 5 then to the tonic. I focused my practice on these 3 chords so that i can get used to the progression and the playing with the scales on my right hand. It turned out good, in this video i could play it smoother and more accurately although there are still wrongs and it may not be perfect. My fingering is also a mess. Next time i will need to improve on my fingering and try to practice the other 3 chord progressions which is G flat, E and D.

Term 3 video- Week 2
In this video i am playing 3 chord progressions on my right and the bass note on my left hand, it was quite hard because i am not really used to it and need to read the notes which was confusing. However i did it somehow. The chord progression was from 2-5-1 from C, B flat, A flat major scales. I need to be able to play it faster and correct. I need to practice more and try to read the notes more carefully because i am quite clumsy to read the notes and did some few of mistakes.
In this video i did another 3 chord progression from G flat, E and D major scales from 2-5-1 progressions. It was quite hard because there were a lot of flats, and i didnt really read the notes well which shows there were several mistakes on the notes and it sounds weird. It also took time for me to figure out the notes and my hand numbering is a mess. I need to be able to play it faster and more accurately, so i will need to practice it more so that i could play it more smoothly.

Term 3 video- Week 1
In this video i am playing the jazz modules chords that my teacher told me during my practical class. It was quite easy but i am not really familiar with the chords so it was also quite hard to get used to it. I played it quite well but there were mistakes, the playing is not smooth and it is still quite slow. Next time i need to make it faster and practice more. I need to practice slower so that i could get used to the modules and so that i could play smoother on my next class lesson.
This week in this video, i practice the jazz modules chords again. I was able to play it quite smoothly and less mistakes than the other time i first played it. However, i think i could play it faster, so i need to practice it more usually so that i could play faster without any mistakes.

Term 3- Reflection
14/01/11, Friday
Today in our theory class we learned the history of Jazz Music because we are going to learn it this term. We were asked questions and i could do some of it. We were also told to do some 200 words essay about it and were given some worksheets as a HW. I need to do 25 multiple choice questions for next Tuesday. I think jazz genre will be really hard to play and understand, the tempo is different and a really different sensation. We were also told more types of chords which is really new for me like c13, and things like that. I need to be able to memorize and understand these chords. For me to be more familiar to it.
In instrument class, we were told to play the new jazz chords that i already took down on my music book. My hands were too small so i played some of the chords with 2 hands instead of one hand. It were kinda easy but it is new so i should practice it more often

Today in theory class we reviewed our HW last time because we were told that we are going to have some quizes about it. I did the quiz quite well but there were 2 wrongs because the answer was different from what ive learnt and read. I need to continue and persue my knowledge on jazz music. After that we learned about jazz modules which was new for me. It showed us different stages with different names which were created years ago. I need to memorize these modules later on.
In practical class i played all the jazz modes up and down. I played it quite slowly and it was still not smooth yet. I need to continue my practice at home adding jazz modules so that i could play it smoothly in class for Friday.

Today we were given sheets about jazz history and its background. I need to share my sheet with Tiffany in pairs because it was not enough. We highlighted the important parts and were finished reading on time. After that each partner were asked about what they read and answer some questions then we discussed it together. I and my partner managed to answer the questions but i still need to read more of the history and really understand jazz's genre. So i will need to read more of the sheets and really put it in mind.
During practical class, i played all the jazz modules again from up to down like last Tuesday and i had improved, i played it quite smoothly and it was not too slow. However Mr Herry tiold us to play with the right and left hands on the chords and the modes. So we changed hands to play these, it was quite hard with the changes but i managed somehow. I need to continue my practice using the changes so that i could play the modules with different hands smoothly.

Today Mr Herry told us about our assignments and the first assessment is to make an essay. We were divided into groups of 3-5 and were each given an essay topic to dicuss about, we got "why is jazz considered America's music? In what ways does jazz represent America?" then we discuss our topic throuhgly and made 5-7 points from our opinions and from the sheets that we got. After that we presentate our discussions quite well and were told that we need to make an essay of 400-600 words about it. Then some of us performed the jazz modes infront of the class, we were also tested about the jazz modes name to test our memory. I did well when i was asked i could answer it. I will need to do my essay as a HW.
In practical class we copied simple chord progression, six of them on the white board, and were checked. After that Mr Herry showed us how to play it and explain to us what it is about, we need to play it for our video this week. I also played the jazz modes left and right, it was kind of hard but i managed it somehow. I need to do my video, practice more and figure out how the chord progression goes.

We didnt had any class today because there were some exhibition going on for grade 10s of our personal project. So i will need to practice at home.
2/02/11, Wednesday
Today in theory class Mr Hery asked us to submit our essay. I was told to write the day submition on the back. Then we watch a video about Jazz (Owen) and a jazz school for us to appreciate music. After that he distirbute 'I Got Rhytm' song as our assessment song on Friday next week. We practice it and then perform the song by group, our piano group perform it quite well but it was quite too high for us so the teacher lowered the key. We also learned and were showed about the 12 bars blues for us to make later on, it seemed kind of hard to understand and make but i think i will manage it somehow. I will need to memorize the lyrics for my singing assessment later on, which will be complicated.
In practical class, i played the chord progression it was hard and because there were no more time i didnt finished all the chord progression. When i played there were some wrongs and i was confused on the notes, i played not smoothly. I will need to continue my practice on it so that i can master the progressions needed to play jazz. Jazz is a hard music genre but is fun in a way.

Today at school we had parent teacher conference. So there werent any class going on. I didnt had any time to practice and check my chord progression play. Therefore i will need to practice and master it at home.

Today i was sick and hospitalized so i couldnt attend any lessons at school. I ask my friends what they did in music class and they told me they already did the 'I Got Rhythm' singing assessment that day. So i will need to practice and memorize the song for my next assessment when it is my turn to do it.

Today i hand in my music essay quite late because i was absent last wednesday. I also had some practice time to rehearse I Got Rhythm song for my assessment that day which was late, i was the first one so i had some time practicing. I did the assessment quite well and was able to memorise the lyrics. I almost forgot the lyrics when i was singing but i managed it somehow. Mr Herry also gave me 2 reflection sheets because i need to sing 2 times for my singing assessment. I did the first reflection sheet queitly and managed to fill all of it well. I need to have more confidence next time on my singing assessment and i need to memorize the lyrics more so that i would not be in danger of losing marks. After that the others rehearse their own songs which they will sing on their next assessment. I will also need to choose a new song to practice and memorize for my next singing assesement. I will also need to do the 12 bar blues which had been explained by mr Herry the pattern, to be checked on Wednesday next week.
There was no practical class, so all i did was the theory class and i listen well. I will need to continue my practice on the chord progression later on.

Today we had our 2nd singing assessment and we sat in alphabets. We were told to give comments about our friends performance and i did it carefully without judging them. It was kind of fun because it made me to really concentrate on their singing and i did it great.
Adrian: Adrian sang well memorizing the song. However he could have controlled his pitch more when singing.
Anissa: Anissa sang the song really well, she also tried to catch the song's atmosphere which is captured well.
Arditho: Ardhito didnt memorize the song. Next time he could try to control his pitch more.
Antony: Antony sang well with a good pitch, he could try to memorize the song next time.
Jacintha: Jacintha memorized her song really well infront and had a good voice control. She could try to sing a little louder on other occasions.
Frederick: Frederick has a good pitch but he mumbles at some part that he could improve. He should be more confident next time.
Gregorious: Gregorius has a great jazzy voice and a good pitch control. Unfortunately he kind of forgot some parts of the lyrics infront.
Imez: Imez mastered the song but too bad she didnt memorize it.
Martinus: Martinus sang well but he could try to sing it a little louder with more confidence.
Michelle: Michelle sang really well and have a really great voice. However i think she didnt chose the correct song for her because there are some parts which she cant reach the notes.
18/02/10, Friday
Today we continued the singing assessment and did some comment to our friends again. It was fun but too bad Mr Herry was absent that day because of some competition. After that we were told to collect the 12 blues bar but none of us finished it because we didn't understand how to make one and Mr Herry's explanation was quite unclear for us and he only explained it for 10 minutes because there were no time. So we just sang some more song. I and Jacintha sang moon river again in front of the class quite well and it was fun.
Pandu: He sang well, he was confidence and had a good pitch.
Reynaldi: Reynaldi was quite confident and had a good pitch.
Rifky: Rifky was really confident and has a good control and grasp of the song.
Tae Hoon: Tae Hoon sang clearly and loud which is good to hear.
Tiffany: Tiffany played the piano with the other music teachers on the back. She sang twice and she had a good control of her pitch and it was really nice.
23/02/11, Wednesday
Today we discuss about the 12 blues bar and how to make it. Mr Herry gave us the scales and the notes to make the 12 bars. Then we were told to make it on our music book, i didnt have any time to play the notes so i could just choose some of the notes and place it on the right bar which i know itll turn out to sound bad but i could fix it later on. After that i rewrote the composition on a piece of paper for us to hand it in.
In practical class, i played the composition with my right hand only to hear how it turned out. It turned to sound weird and so Mr Herry helped me to fix the notes and helped me to practice the blues bar. However there isnt any time to fix all of it so next time i should fix the whole composition and play it.
25/02/11, Friday
Today Mr Herry played us our composition one by one. After he played my composition he told me to fix it in the instrument class for wednesday. He also told us to put it on the finale for wednesday and that we're going to have a rehearsal. So i need to practice a lot and fix it. After that he explain us on the bord how to write the notes in correct tempo.
In the practical class my 12 blues bars were checked and i play it again. I play the left hand with the chord which sounds better. I managed to fix all of the composition with Mr Herry's helped on the bars which sounded weird. Next time i need to practice more for the rehearsal.
2/03/11, Wednesday
Today we were told to submit the 12 blues bar submission. I submitted mine but there were some wrongs in the composition so I would want to fix it and then i should hand it in tommorow morning before 7 40 so that i wouldnt get any deductions. After that we had our jazz rehearsal in partners for 1 piano and in a group. It was a lot of fun and it was not really nervous because we played together! I had some difficulties because the playing was really unique and quite confusing with other people playing different nots. However because Mr Herry helped us and instruct of i were able to pull it off.
In practical class replay our song and practiced by partners. Thankfully i did not do too much mistakes on it and were able to understand the steps and played the chords and melody quite smoothly. However there were still some wrongs that i should improve next time.
4/03/11, Friday
Today we had our practical assessments in groups. During the practical assessment i was quite nervous but it was okay. I did some mistakes on the tempo on some parts of the melody but i did well in maintaining the nots correctly. Next time i will need to practice and be more ready for assessments like this. We had some trouble for the piano group so we repeated it for 2 times. We were also told to comment on our friends playing:
Guitar Group
- Ardhito: He played his melody well during the assessment. Too bad he cant play the chords with the rest of the group members.
-Pandu: I can see that he played well on his melody and has a big confidence. However i can't really hear his melody because it was slow and soft.
-Rifky: His melody are really nice and he played it well.
-Greg: He played really well and his melody is also really cheerful. He could make it more interesting by playing it a bit harder because i couldn't really hear it.
Violin Group
- Anthony: He played quite poorly and his melody are quite nice but it could be improved more.
- Martinus: He handled the violin really well and played his melody clearly.
- Reynaldi: He has improved a lot and did a great job this time.
Saxophone Group
-Daniel: His melody is really hard to play and shows his efforts in practicing it.
- Frederick: His melody is really good to listen and is catchy. He also played well that made me attracted to his playing.
- Michellel: Michelle played her melody really well but she could improve her melody to be more creative. However for a beginner it is great
9/03/11, Wednesday
Today we watched Jazz videos, I listen to it slowly and it sounded good. It was announced that we haven't finish our reflection for the last assessment, so we did our reflection. I managed to fully wrote all of the things needed and made it full. Mr Herry then told us about our next assessment right away which is Jazz group performance and we were divided into groups. My group are Daniel, Anthony, Tiffany and Greg. We got Summer Time as our Jazz song, i don't really like it cause it sounded too boring but it also has a nice texture to it which completes it which was quite okay for me. After taht Mr Herry teaches us more about chords to add for our next assessment to be in use.
We didn't have any time any practical class so i need to practice the chords at home.
11/03/11, Friday
Today we make our reflection on finale composition which we haven't made. I managed to fully fill all of the lines and the things i needed to write. After that we discusses about chords again because our assessment is going to come out soon. Mr Herry ask us one by one to make sure we fully understands what he is discussing, thankfully i was able to do it. Then we were given some exercise regarding the chords and was given sometime to do it. I understand the chords and the formula to it so i was able to do it. We changed papers to checked and i carefully checked my friends paper, Martinus's so that i could make some corrections for his mistakes. Then returned it back.
We only had some few minutes for the practical class, so i was not able to play the chords again. Therefore i need to practice the chords at home to make sure i am ready for the group assessment.

Pandu: He sang well, he was confidence and had a good pitch.
Reynaldi: Reynaldi was quite confident and had a good pitch.
Rifky: Rifky was really confident and has a good control and grasp of the song.
Tae Hoon: Tae Hoon sang clearly and loud which is good to hear.
Tiffany: Tiffany played the piano with the other music teachers on the back. She sang twice and she had a good control of her pitch and it was really nice.
23/02/11, Wednesday
Today we discuss about the 12 blues bar and how to make it. Mr Herry gave us the scales and the notes to make the 12 bars. Then we were told to make it on our music book, i didnt have any time to play the notes so i could just choose some of the notes and place it on the right bar which i know itll turn out to sound bad but i could fix it later on. After that i rewrote the composition on a piece of paper for us to hand it in.
In practical class, i played the composition with my right hand only to hear how it turned out. It turned to sound weird and so Mr Herry helped me to fix the notes and helped me to practice the blues bar. However there isnt any time to fix all of it so next time i should fix the whole composition and play it.
25/02/11, Friday
Today Mr Herry played us our composition one by one. After he played my composition he told me to fix it in the instrument class for wednesday. He also told us to put it on the finale for wednesday and that we're going to have a rehearsal. So i need to practice a lot and fix it. After that he explain us on the bord how to write the notes in correct tempo.
In the practical class my 12 blues bars were checked and i play it again. I play the left hand with the chord which sounds better. I managed to fix all of the composition with Mr Herry's helped on the bars which sounded weird. Next time i need to practice more for the rehearsal.
2/03/11, Wednesday
Today we were told to submit the 12 blues bar submission. I submitted mine but there were some wrongs in the composition so I would want to fix it and then i should hand it in tommorow morning before 7 40 so that i wouldnt get any deductions. After that we had our jazz rehearsal in partners for 1 piano and in a group. It was a lot of fun and it was not really nervous because we played together! I had some difficulties because the playing was really unique and quite confusing with other people playing different nots. However because Mr Herry helped us and instruct of i were able to pull it off.
In practical class replay our song and practiced by partners. Thankfully i did not do too much mistakes on it and were able to understand the steps and played the chords and melody quite smoothly. However there were still some wrongs that i should improve next time.
4/03/11, Friday
Today we had our practical assessments in groups. During the practical assessment i was quite nervous but it was okay. I did some mistakes on the tempo on some parts of the melody but i did well in maintaining the nots correctly. Next time i will need to practice and be more ready for assessments like this. We had some trouble for the piano group so we repeated it for 2 times. We were also told to comment on our friends playing:
Guitar Group
- Ardhito: He played his melody well during the assessment. Too bad he cant play the chords with the rest of the group members.
-Pandu: I can see that he played well on his melody and has a big confidence. However i can't really hear his melody because it was slow and soft.
-Rifky: His melody are really nice and he played it well.
-Greg: He played really well and his melody is also really cheerful. He could make it more interesting by playing it a bit harder because i couldn't really hear it.
Violin Group
- Anthony: He played quite poorly and his melody are quite nice but it could be improved more.
- Martinus: He handled the violin really well and played his melody clearly.
- Reynaldi: He has improved a lot and did a great job this time.
Saxophone Group
-Daniel: His melody is really hard to play and shows his efforts in practicing it.
- Frederick: His melody is really good to listen and is catchy. He also played well that made me attracted to his playing.
- Michellel: Michelle played her melody really well but she could improve her melody to be more creative. However for a beginner it is great
9/03/11, Wednesday
Today we watched Jazz videos, I listen to it slowly and it sounded good. It was announced that we haven't finish our reflection for the last assessment, so we did our reflection. I managed to fully wrote all of the things needed and made it full. Mr Herry then told us about our next assessment right away which is Jazz group performance and we were divided into groups. My group are Daniel, Anthony, Tiffany and Greg. We got Summer Time as our Jazz song, i don't really like it cause it sounded too boring but it also has a nice texture to it which completes it which was quite okay for me. After taht Mr Herry teaches us more about chords to add for our next assessment to be in use.
We didn't have any time any practical class so i need to practice the chords at home.
11/03/11, Friday
Today we make our reflection on finale composition which we haven't made. I managed to fully fill all of the lines and the things i needed to write. After that we discusses about chords again because our assessment is going to come out soon. Mr Herry ask us one by one to make sure we fully understands what he is discussing, thankfully i was able to do it. Then we were given some exercise regarding the chords and was given sometime to do it. I understand the chords and the formula to it so i was able to do it. We changed papers to checked and i carefully checked my friends paper, Martinus's so that i could make some corrections for his mistakes. Then returned it back.
We only had some few minutes for the practical class, so i was not able to play the chords again. Therefore i need to practice the chords at home to make sure i am ready for the group assessment.
